It is best to book as far ahead as possible to make sure I am available on your preferred date.
The current Marriage Act requires that a Notice Of Intended Marriage MUST be lodged at least one calendar month before your marriage can take place. The maximum notice is eighteen months.
Original Certificate of Birth, either an extract or a full certificate.
If you have been previously married, the original Decree Absolute or Divorce Certificate.
If you are a widow or widower, the original Death Certificate of your late spouse.
If certificates are written in a language other than English then I need them to be translated by a registered translator.
Marriages in Australia can take place at any time and in any place, providing that the ceremony does not cause a nuisance to other people, and that you are not trespassing on private land.
There are no legal requirements to supply any documentation for a naming ceremony.
No. A naming ceremony can be held anywhere and at any time.
There is no legal requirement for a period of notice for a naming ceremony.
Yes. The marital status or sex of a parent does not affect naming ceremonies.
Yes, I will provide a certificate as a memento of your special occasion.
Anyone! A commitment ceremony is held between two people who love each other, but for personal or legal reasons cannot or do not wish to marry. This ceremony gives public recognition to their love.
There is no legal requirement to submit notice to a government department so there is no legal requirement for a period of notice for a commitment ceremony. Again, it is best to book me as early as possible for your special ceremony.
